The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the exam schedule for the JEE Main Registration 2026. According to the official announcement Session 1 of JEE Main 2026 will be held from January 21 to 30, 2026.
While Session 2 will take place between April 1 and 10, 2026. Registration for the January session is expected to begin in October 2025, followed by the April session registration window in late January 2026, after the declaration of Session 1 results.

JEE Main registration 2026 Eligibility criteria

Academic qualification: Candidates must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) examination in 2024 or be appearing in 2026. Subject requirements: Candidates must have studied Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) as core subjects in Class 12. JEE Main registration 2026 Paper Pattern
| The JEE Main 2026 will continue with its familiar pattern as well as. Paper 1 (for B.E./B.Tech): Total of 90 questions – 30 each from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must attempt 75 questions in total. Marking scheme: +4 marks for every correct answer. −1 mark for every incorrect response. Duration: 3 hours. Paper 2A (B.Arch) and Paper 2B (B.Planning): Each paper carries a total of 400 marks. Both test Mathematics and Aptitude, while Paper 2A includes a Drawing test (pen-and-paper mode) and Paper 2B includes Planning-based questions (computer-based mode). |

JEE Main Registration 2026 Aadhaar-Based Verification
| NTA to make the registration process smooth they will obtain like – Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Photograph, and Address from UIDAI through Aadhaar authentication. Candidates must manually enter details like Father’s or Mother’s name. Any mismatch between Aadhaar and educational certificates can be corrected through the given online option during registration. |
